Bulleen Templestowe: 14.11-95
Rolling on from a great win the week before, the Unicorns had something to prove this week after losing their first home game of the year just two weeks prior.
Coming out hard early, the Unicorns looked composed in the first quarter kicking five goals to the Bullants 2 to lead by 21 points at quarter time. However the Bullants came out firing in the second quarter the rattled the home side. They managed to kick three unanswered goals in the quarter to reduce the margin to 4 points at the half.
The Unicorns regained their composure in the third quarter with some great defensive efforts. The forwards capitalised on some great runs from the half back line to extend the lead to 19 points at three quarter time.
The Bullants again rose to the challenge in the fourth quarter and managed to level the score with less than five minutes on the clock. A huge mark from Hugh Radcliffe-Smith on the goal line put the Unicorns back in front. Tension was at an all time high as the Bullants frantically tried to score but the Unicorns managed to hold them off and win the game.
