Round 13 Reserves Match Report

Old Parade 9.8-62

MHSOB 8.8-56

On Saturday we saw MHSOBFC away against Old Paradians. We knew this wouldnt be an easy game as Parade have been playing some very good footy, winning the last four games comfortably and cementing a spot in the top four.

Parade started exactly how we thought they would, with high intensity and putting lost of pressure on us when we had possession. They managed to kick straight and to their credit were leading by 3 points at quarter time.

The second quarter was much the same with high intensity from our opposition. Luckily D Hamilton-Ho stared and helped give us a one goal advantage going into half time.

The second half continued to be a very close encounter with several lead changes. Unfortunately in the end Parade were too good for us and simply wanted to win more than we did. The game ended in a six point victory to Parade.

This was the first loss of the season for our twos squad and it was a huge eye opener. We know that we can go all the way this year, but we need to play our best footy to do so. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the boys respond in round 14 against the second best team.
