A cold morning welcomed the Clubbies for their final home game of the season, a must win clash against Richmond Central.
Reminiscent of last week’s encounter, the Tigers jumped the Clubbies early, applying plenty of forward pressure, some Adam Jones brilliance across half back helping stem the tide.
The second term had the clubbies still on the back foot, Stu Dangerfield, Ben Southam and James Hansford battling hard in the middle to try and wrestle control.
The Tigers took a strong lead in at halftime, they looked to have the game firmly under their control.
The start of the second half was a blitz, the clubbies coming out and piling on 7 goals to come roaring back into the contest! Josh Vellin was instrumental through the middle of the ground with Arran Bouten starting to gain ascendancy down forward, Dan Esidaile chipped in with couple of goals as well.
The last quarter saw the clubbies again run out of legs, sustaining injuries to AJ Jones, Adam Granger to name just couple, the Tigers running away with the game and the hopes of a finals berth for the clubbies.
Veteran Mark Bowen wound back the clock with a vintage performance, while Will O’loughlan played his best game for the club with a strong showing across half back.
