Looking to pick up an away win against very competitive opposition in Old Paradians, MHSOB started brightly, as they made best use of the early tricky conditions. Chris Tetaz popped up on the end of a well worked team effort, and in the middle Julian Eimutis provided quality ball movement. The result for the term showed a 21-point to zero effort, a fantastic start.

Old Paradians were not to be denied a chance at getting back into the game, and did so in the second, kicking back to just seven points adrift at the main break. From the visitors, midfielder Petro Pirozek showed his quality, as did defender Brendan Cook.

The third quarter provided goals at both ends, as the two teams vied for control of the game. Larry Hanly and Matthew Pereia got on the scoreboard for the Unicorns.

Going into the last quarter, the Unicorns held an 11-point advantage, however the final quarter of the home side turned the game on its head, rewriting the script and emerging victorious, by 17 points.
