2013 award winners

Congratulations to Dylan Hamilton-Ho on his winning the club champion award for 2013.

For a full run down on all the winners, please continue reading.

Dylan had a great year through the midfield, gathering possessions at will and regularly pushing forward to kick goals.  Dyl’s win was even more meritorious given he missed the last month of the season after an operation on his knee.

Lachie Evans was runner up, with young gun Mike Manteit in third.

It was a big night for Mike.  Just one year after being the youngest player ever to play senior football for the club, Mike was awarded the Albon-Betheras Award for most votes in the senior best and fairest by a player under the age of 21, as well as sharing the Reg Fairchild Award for player’s player with Lachie Evans.

Kylie da Fonte was awarded her third Sam Silberberg award for best clubman, and was also awarded life membership of the club.  After 15 years service to the club, this was a very well deserved honour for Kylie.  Kylie is the first femail life member of the club.

Luke Taylor continued the theme of multiple award-winners, as he capped off his final season of football with the reserve’s best and fairest and leading goal kicker awards.

In the under 19s Sam Hayes’ excellent season was rewarded with a resounding b&f victory.
