MHSOBFC ventured out to Ted Ajani Reserve to take on Bulleen Templestowe in their Round 1 clash. 

A slow first quarter by the Unicorns saw the Bullants jump to an early 20-point lead at quarter time. 

A strong performance in the middle by debutant Joel Gauci led the fight back in quarters two and three, aided by goals to deputy-vice captain Nick Campbell and ruckman James Cusack. 

The fourth quarter saw Bulleen Templestowe run away with it to win by 49 points, with vice captain and key forward Taylor Raymond scoring the lone goal for the term.

Final Score: MHSOB: 3.8-26 defeated by Bulleen-Templestowe: 11.9-75
