Thirds Round 11 2021

MHSOB Thirds came up against West Brunswick on their home deck, and with a few handy inclusions after forfeits elsewhere, they had a very winnable game on their hands.

In what was a back and forth affair all afternoon, our strong midfield was dominant all afternoon, led by the likes of JRS and Rob Rae, supported by clean distribution by Evan Riddle and Albert Kuang on the wings.

Our defensive unit acted as the starting point of many attacks, with the strong presence provided by Victor Pupko complimenting the run and carry of Dan Gumley in transition. 3 goals to Nico Campbell gave West Brunswick plenty of headaches in the forward line.

Unfortunately, we came up short in the end, going down by just 5 points in what was a disappointing loss.
